Call for projects 2025

Organs- et organoids-on-chip

The main objective of this Call for Projects (CFP) is to bring out new concepts and technologies, to broaden, strengthen and unite an active community or one wishing to get involved in the development of the second generation of organs-and organoids-on-chip (O&OoC) around ambitious and structuring projects.

In accordance with the national research program framework document, validated by the State, it is expected that the proposed projects should address at least one of these three thematic axes:

  • O&OoC derived from patient cells to create “clinical twins” for personalized medicine
  • Multi-functional or multi-organ O&OoC to better understand, mimic human physiopathology and treat systemic or inter-organ diseases
  • O&OoC integrating multiple or multi-parametric sensor and/or actuator technologies for monitoring normal and pathological biological processes.

This next-generation O&OoC should be based on patient-derived cells, stem cell-derived organoids, or explants, integrated into a microfluidic chip to mimic the environment encountered in vivo and combined with advanced in situ monitoring and control capabilities.

This call for proposals aims to support projects built around consortia bringing together the expertise and synergy necessary to carry out the proposed project, with funding of between €1 million and €2.5 million for a period of 3 or 4 years.
